Larrys Cruisers
Since I started building models at the age of 8, I have been interested in automobiles of all kinds. At the ripe age of 14 my grandfather gave me his old farm truck, a very rough 1951 Ford F-1 pickup. At this point I knew I had to put mag wheels on and give it a paint job. I left in the original Flathead 8, and puttered on it night & day until it looked like this:

Upon turning 16, I purchased my second vehicle? a basket case 1954 Ford pickup truck (below left). The drivetrain was replaced with a 289 V8 with C4 3 speed auto transmission. The bodywork and paint was done by my cousins husband, who owns a body shop in Sedley Sask (he also did the body work on my 55). With some mag wheels and fat tires (N50s on the back) I was ready to rip! (Hmmm... who is the guy with all the hair?)

I even tried my hand at motocross racing! Pictured below (on the left) is me and my pit crew! In the center is my first motorcyle... when I was 9 years old. It was a Gemini - anyone remember those? I also had a 1980 Suzuki GLS 550L (below right), with which I toured across Western Canada. Ahhh... the memories!

Below is my 1978 Mustang and my sister Patti. Hey, was I cool or what?

Saved from the junkpile!
